Happykatiffin: APPLE APRICOT SOUP (6-8 Months)


Feeding your child appropriate complementary foods is very essential. Introducing semi solid foods to your child should be adequate in quality and quantity, safely prepared and timely given. Here’s immunity boosting recipe for your infant, perfect for snack and high in calories

Serving size -2 , Preparation time- 5 minutes , Cooking time – 10 minutes



½ Apple (peeled)

½ carrot (peeled)

¼ potato (peeled)

2 dried apricots

1 tsp ghee

Jaggery (if required)


  1. Dice apple, carrot, potato, apricot into cubes
  2. Put the above ingredients in a pressure cooker
  3. Add 1-2 cups of water and pressure cook for 2-3 whistles
  4. Cool the mixture and blend to a smooth paste
  5. Strain the mixture to avoid any lumps or vegetable chunks
  6. Pour the soup in a serving bowl, add ½ tsp ghee and jaggery if required
  7. Serve lukewarm
